Burberry Final Line Up
For my final Line-Up I wanted to first do my print designs in order to have a basis to choose from when filling in my garment designs. I started with making color variations in the iconic Burberry Plaid. I wanted to play around with scale and color mixing within garments as well as looks. One thing that has been a struggle is trying to narrow down my prints into one cohesive collection. Do you think some plaids are more successful than other?
Branding is a huge part of a company. I took the Burberry Horse Logo and manipulated it into various prints. I also did a graffiti design with the Burberry name and tried color variations along with layering it on top of plaids.
My engineered print consists of the London Skyline. Although not currently used in my final line-up, I want to add this in to Brand and create depth in the garments as seen in the sample flats. Below that is the British Flag print I created as a supplement print.
I want to try doing more variation in print mixing, but I like where this is going. I do think the first half of the collection has more khaki then the second, but all prints chosen are used more than once. Do you think it is too much print? What’s not working together?
